Partner: The Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF)
 
Partner Info: NYEF is s a non-profit organization founded in 2003 to promote the entrepreneurial spirit in Nepal.  They are at the forefront of entrepreneurial training and promoting continued progress on business reform. NYEF’s main hub is in Kathmandu and now has chapters in Biratnagar, Pokhara and Birgunj and is continuing to grow. In addition to connecting its members and promoting the sharing of best practices, NYEF runs programs such as Made in Nepal and a three-day entrepreneurship boot camp to promote entrepreneurs. It is also a partner with Enterprise, the first private business incubator in Nepal. Click here to find out more about NYEF. 
 
Participants in the program: 
  • Range in age from early 20s to late 40s
  • Recruited through the three-day entrepreneurial boot camp that NYEF runs
  • At various stages of their business, with some just developing their idea and others who are in the first year of their business

  • The LEADER Project will be a bridge for participants of the boot camp to continue developing their business plans and ideas to eventually enter the Enterprise business incubator.
  • Nepal is on the brink of large economic growth and continued development of its business environment.
  • Entrepreneurs are faced with an uncertain political situation and barriers to financing.
  • Nepal’s business environment continues to develop and improve, with the current communist government implementing changes to promote growth in the country
