Who is the partner?
In Accra, LEADER has partnered with Youth Challenge International (YCI) and The Entrepreneurship Training Institute (ETI), dynamic organizations committed to
building community and driving innovation in Ghana by providing professional and leadership skills to young people. We aim to aid in the positive development of the
West African country and its future leaders.
Who are the entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurs are between 18 and 25 and are participants in the Entrepreneurship Training Institute. Each has a strong business idea or early stage start-up, and
are passionate about contributing to their surroundings. By working together in building their businesses, the entrepreneurs will develop a network to support each other for years to come.

Why are we there?
Ghana plays a key role in African leadership, and LEADER is excited for its inaugural year in the country to help its young people advance their skills needed to continue its growth. Ghana’s economy is expanding rapidly thanks to its endowment of natural resources, and it is our hope that we can contribute to empowering the entrepreneurs to further the country’s accession. What makes this location unique? As a former British colony, English is Ghana’s official language, making it easy for LEADERites to communicate with the entrepreneurs. Accra is the country’s major centre for manufacturing, marketing, and finance with primary industries focused around gold, diamonds and timber. Accra has been recently attracting entrepreneurship and investors in the tourism sector. With plenty of museums and beaches, the capital city will allow LEADERites to take in local culture and relax on the beach on the weekends. |
